Liverpool came from behind to hold Manchester City to a 2-2 draw during their Premier League game at the Etihad stadium on Sunday evening.
City got off to a flying start, as De Bruyne put them ahead after just five minutes. De Bruyne returned to the attack after Mane has cleared Sterling’s initial chance and comfortably beats Fabinho.
He hits it with his left foot from the edge of the box, and a Matip deflection sends it past Alisson, off the post, and into the back of the net.

Eight minutes later, Diogo Jota equalized for Liverpool when Robertson sent the ball back into the danger area after Laporte had cleared a cross for Mane.
At the back post, Alexander-Arnold cuts it back for Jota to stroke home.
After that, City bombarded Liverpool’s goal and finally got the lead again through Jesus, who beat Liverpool’s offside trap to make it 2-1.
Cancelo crossed back into the area after the Reds headed away a Man City corner, and with the Liverpool defense nowhere to be seen, Jesus slides in at the far post to tap it past Alisson and into the net.
Going into half-time, the Sky Blues were in front and four points clear on the table, but the lead didn’t last long as Liverpool got themselves back into the game just a minute into the second half.
Mo Salah rushes inside and lofts a beautiful ball through for Mane, who beats Walker to it and slots it past Ederson to tie the game up at 2-2.

The two Premier League heavyweights fought toe-to-toe in pursuit of a victory, with VAR denying Sterling’s goal and both goalkeepers contributing to what was an absolute classic league game.
