Mohamed Salah continues to have his name in history book after leading Liverpool to a 2-0 win over Brighton during their Premier League game at Amex Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Both the attacker and Luis Diaz scored as the Reds clinched a crucial three points to keep up the pressure on league leaders Man City.
Brighton headed into the game looking to snap out of a four-game Premier League losing streak after falling 2-1 to Newcastle United the previous time out.
Jurgen Klopp’s side were also looking for a win from their first home defeat in over a year, which came against Serie A side – Inter in the Champions League.
After taking few minutes to shake off the effects of the defeat, the Reds shifted up the tempo 19 minutes into the game, following the pivotal moment in the first half, when Luis Diaz seized an unavoidable clattering to nod home the game’s opener.
As Matip was given time on the ball out on the right, he dropped a long ball into the path of Diaz, who bravely nodded home the game’s first goal.

For the next 25 minutes of the first half, the visitors were mostly in control, as Brighton’s fragile composure began to crumble.
Although Alexander-Arnold produced a few crosses for his strikers to score, but the hosts were able to keep their deficit to a single goal at halftime.
14 minutes into the second half, the visitors had an opportunity to go ahead when the referee pointed to the spot after Bissouma touched the ball in the penalty area after it was delivered towards him by Keita from the left side of the box.
Mohamed Salah, the Egyptian wizard, takes the ball and coolly finished the spot kick to double their advantage, making it 20 Premier League goals for the 4th time in his 5 seasons with the Reds.
The 29-year-old is also only the third player in Premier League history to score 50 away goals for Liverpool.

Salah’s goal was also the 2000th Premier League goal for the Merseyside club.
The Jurgen Klopp’s men will be in action again in midweek when they travel to Emirate stadium, while Brighton will have another chance to end their losing streak when they host Tottenham on Wednesday.
