Super Falcons forward Blessing Nkor has continued her red-hot start to life in Belarus, finding the back of the net for the second consecutive game to help Dynamo Brest Women secure a clinical home victory over Belshina Bobruisk.
The 22-year-old forward came off the bench to score the third goal of the encounter as Brest crushed their visitors 3-0 to maintain their perfect start to the new campaign, Footballrover reports.
Blessing Nkor shines again for Dynamo Brest
The Nigerian international, who scored on her debut just last week, proved once again why she is the league’s newest sensation.
Nkor, who is yet to make her full debut, came into the game in the 54th minute to replace Arina Smirnova, and it took her just 22 minutes on the pitch to make an impact at the Regional Sport Complex Brestskiy.
The hosts wasted no time asserting their dominance. Alena Guseva opened the scoring in the very first minute, catching the Belshina defence off guard to give Brest an early lead.
Despite controlling the tempo, the second goal didn’t arrive until the hour mark when Shamirah Nalugya doubled the advantage in the 60th minute with a stunning strike from the edge of the area.
With the game heading into the closing stages, Nkor put the icing on the cake. She struck in the 74th minute from a loose ball inside the penalty area to make it 3-0, ensuring there was no way back for the visitors.
Lapses in defending allowed her two clear chances, and she made it count.
The victory is a significant one for Dynamo Brest. With three wins from three matches, they have now amassed a maximum of nine points.
Dynamo Brest go top as Nkor makes it two in two
Crucially, this result moves Nkor and her teammates to first place in the Belarusian Women’s Premier League standings.
They currently sit above defending champions Dinamo Minsk on goal difference, signalling a potential shift in the league’s power balance.
Since joining the club on a short-term deal two weeks ago, Nkor is gradually transitioning seamlessly into a key figure as she now boasts two goals in two matches for Dynamo Brest
With two goals in two appearances, the Nigerian forward is quickly becoming a focal point of the Brest attack.
