He nearly completed a hat-trick but was denied by VAR, as the visitors secured a 2-1 win at the Al-Jouf University Stadium.

With his brace against Al-Jandal, the 33-year-old has now taken his season tally to 25 goal contributions—23 goals and two assists—in just 25 appearances.

Simy was the difference-maker as Al-Orobah FC came from behind to secure a lively win and all three points from Al-Jandal.

The hosts struck first in the 36th minute, with Ahmed Al Shuwayfie finishing neatly off a pass from Ibrahim Al Harbi to give Al-Jandal the lead. But their advantage didn’t last long.

Right on the stroke of halftime, Simy pulled Al-Orobah level, calmly converting Anass Najah’s assist to make it 1-1 heading into the break.

The second half had its drama early on when Simy thought he had grabbed his second just six minutes in, only for the goal to be ruled out.

Undeterred, the Nigerian striker responded in style just six minutes later—once again linking up with Najah—to fire home the winner in the 57th minute.

A comeback completed, and three valuable points in the bag for Al-Orobah.

Tijani decisive assist leads Spartacus back to winning ways

Meanwhile, in Hungary, Nigerian forward Muhamed Tijani delivered an impressive performance over the weekend, providing an assist to help Nyíregyháza Spartacus FC secure a hard-fought home victory over Zalaegerszeg.

After recording a goal and an assist in a heavy 7-2 defeat to Újpest in their previous outing, the forward responded strongly in the Hungarian NB I Round 31 clash, guiding Spartacus back to winning ways.

Tijani played a key role in the opening goal as the hosts edged their visitors 2-1 at the Városi Stadion.

Despite his influence on the game, he could only feature for 66 minutes before being replaced by Dorian Babunski.

The 25-year-old registered his third assist of the season, taking his tally to three goal involvements in his last two matches—one goal and two assists.

He has now contributed to 10 goals in 13 appearances this season, with seven goals to his name, and remains the team’s top scorer.

The hosts struck first in the 27th minute, with Balázs Manner finishing neatly after being set up by Muhamed Tijani. Spartacus carried that advantage into the break, looking like the more composed side.

Late in the game, substitute Babunski made an instant impact, doubling the lead in the 82nd minute with a well-taken effort off Benjamin Oláh’s assist.

Zalaegerszeg responded almost immediately, as Guilherme Teixeira pulled one back two minutes later, finishing from Norbert Szendrei’s pass to set up a tense finale.

But Spartacus held firm in the closing minutes, doing just enough to secure a hard-fought victory on home soil.

Despite the win, Tijani and his teammates remain ninth on the table with 38 points.
