Liverpool unleashed their full strength in the second half after a closely contested first period where neither team could break the deadlock.

Diogo Jota thought he had broken through just 14 minutes into the second half, but his effort went wide.

He connected with a lofted pass from Trent Alexander-Arnold near the six-yard box, but his header missed the target, going just wide of the left post.

However, just two minutes later, the Reds executed a brilliant team goal.

Diogo Jota, once again, found himself in the area, set up by Mohamed Salah, and this time he finished with precision, slotting the ball into the left side of the net.
