Sadio Mane, the Afcon 2021 winner, and Egypt’s Mohamed Salah led Liverpool to a Premier League victory over Norwich on Saturday afternoon at Anfield.
Liverpool overcame Norwich City 3-1 after coming back from a 1-0 deficit. In the first half, both teams had goals disallowed for offside, with Mane’s effort being saved off the line.
Early in the second half, Rashica’s deflected shot beat Alisson, but two goals in three minutes turned the game around.
Mane leveled the scores for the Reds with an acrobatic effort before Salah tucked home to make it 2-1 after Alisson picked him out.
Late in the game, Diaz scored his first goal for Liverpool with a beautiful chip.
Liverpool has now won their previous eight games in all competitions, putting them six points below Manchester City.
Leeds United is their next opponent.
Norwich suffers a terrible defeat, falling to the bottom of the table after Burnley and Watford both won today.
Their next opponent is Southampton.
