Nigerian duo Emmanuel Ayaosi and Lucky Ezeh enjoyed a fantastic outing for MFK Karviná on Saturday evening, both playing key roles in their team’s hard-fought away victory over Dukla Praha in the Czech Republic 1. Liga.
Ayaosi once again showed his creative brilliance, setting up the opening goal of the encounter, which Ezeh calmly converted to help the visitors secure a 2–1 win in their Round 30 clash at Stadion Juliska, Footballrover reports.
Emmanuel Ayaosi and Ezeh inspire Karviná to crucial away win
Ayaosi, now widely tipped as a potential successor to Moses Simon in the Super Eagles, delivered a standout performance and was arguably the man of the match.
He completed the most dribbles (3) in the game and has now registered assists in three consecutive matches—taking his tally to four assists across those games.
Overall, the 21-year-old winger has contributed to 14 goals in 32 appearances this season, with seven goals and seven assists.
Ezeh also impressed with his physical presence, winning a match-high 11 duels.
The 22-year-old forward has now taken his goal contribution tally to 11—scoring nine goals and providing two assists in 28 appearances (three league goals and six more in the Czech Cup).
Nigerian trio shine as Karviná edge Dukla Praha
Ayaosi and Ezeh were not the only Nigerians involved, as 19-year-old Yahaya Lawali also put in a solid performance to help inspire the victory.
He came close to scoring, hitting the woodwork with one of his two efforts in the match.
For the hosts, 23-year-old midfielder Samson Tijani featured for 45 minutes before being replaced by Matěj Žitný at halftime.
In terms of substitutions, Ousmane Condé replaced Ayaosi in the 67th minute, while Ezeh made way for Sebastian Boháč with nine minutes remaining.
Karviná’s victory was built on a strong first-half display. Ezeh opened the scoring in the 39th minute, finishing a well-worked move created by Ayaosi.
Just three minutes later, Aboubacar Traoré doubled the lead with a clinical strike after being set up by Jan Chytrý.
Dukla Praha responded in the second half, with Dario Krejčíř pulling one back in the 62nd minute from Marcel Čermák’s assist, setting up a tense finish.
However, Karviná held firm to secure all three points on the road.
With Moses Simon gradually approaching the latter stages of his career, Ayaosi is increasingly looking like a strong long-term replacement for the Super Eagles.
Attention will now turn to whether he can earn a call-up to Eric Chelle’s squad ahead of the 2026 Unity Cup and upcoming international friendlies against Poland and Portugal.
