Nigerian forward Daniel Udoh continues to prove his importance to Salford City in the English Football League Two, scoring again to inspire a hard-fought narrow away victory over Oldham Athletic on Saturday evening.

Udoh struck the second goal to seal the win, while Nigerian-born English defender Adebola Oluwo opened the scoring and earned the Man of the Match award as the visitors edged their hosts 2–1 at Boundary Park, Footballrover reports.

Daniel Udoh Delivers Again for Salford

Udoh was a constant threat throughout the game and finished as the most fouled player, winning four fouls.

The Round 44 clash marked the 29-year-old’s ninth goal of the season. His scoring form takes his total goal contributions to 17 in 37 appearances, including seven league assists and one assist in the FA Cup.

Salford strengthened their push for automatic promotion with a crucial away win over Oldham, thanks to a strong first-half performance.

Udoh’s Impressive Season in Numbers

Oluwo opened the scoring early, rising highest to head in Luke Garbutt’s free-kick just four minutes in.

Udoh then doubled the lead in first-half stoppage time, finishing off a move created by Ryan Graydon.

Graydon nearly added a third after the break, but chose to pass to Udoh, which led to a saved effort.

Oldham responded with a fine chipped goal from Josh Hawkes, though it proved only a late consolation.

The result lifted Salford to fourth place, just one point off the top three, especially after rivals dropped points.
