Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen scored his 12th Serie A goal of the season as Napoli fell to a narrow home defeat to Fiorentina.

Goals from Nicolas Gonzalez, Jonathan Ikone, and Arthur Cabral saw Luciano Spalletti’s team miss out on a chance to go top of Serie A.

Napoli’s chances of winning the Serie A title were harmed after a 3-2 defeat at home to Fiorentina.

The hosts had a good start to the game, creating chances to score early. In the 29th minute, though, Fiorentina took the lead thanks to Nicolas Gonzalez’s thunderous volley.

In the second half, Napoli took the initiative and equalized through Dries Mertens’ low drive after 58 minutes.

The assist goes to Victor Osimhen, who helped the hosts get back into the game.

Jonathan Ikone gave Fiorentina the lead again eight minutes later, and Arthur Cabral scored a third with a powerful solo effort.

For Napoli, Osimhen grabbed one back, but it was only a consolation.
