Josh Maja’s dominant force and early assist were the saving grace for French Ligue 2 side Bordeaux as they only managed earned a narrow away league win on Monday night.
Josh Maja provided the assist for Bordeaux’s only goal as they secured a slim 1-0 win over Guingamp at the Stade du Roudourou.
In an evenly balanced game, the visiting Bordeaux team only succeeded in breaking through the host’s defense 21 minutes in when Fransérgio scored the game’s only goal.
Guingamp center-back Félix Eboa was forced to give up the ball by Josh Maja, who then squared for Fransérgio, who easily fired his effort towards the center of the post.

The 24-year-old forward was replaced by Senegalese player Aliou Badji after playing 71 minutes in the match and contributing two shots and one assist.
The Nigerian has scored 12 goals and provided five assists in 29 appearances for Bordeaux this season across all competitions.
Bordeaux moved up to second position in the French Ligue 2 standings with the tight victory, just seven points behind league-leading Le Havre and 15 points ahead of their hosts Guingamp, who is currently in tenth place.
