Esther Okoronkwo has shared what truly drives her as she hopes to continue displaying her possible best for the Super Falcons at WAFCON 2025.

The Nigerian forward was named Player of the Match after the Super Falcons’ dominant 3–0 win over Tunisia in Casablanca on Sunday night, and her words show exactly why she remains a game-changer, Footballrover reports.
Falcons hero Esther Okoronkwo shares her winning mindset
Okoronkwo came off the bench at halftime to replace Babajide Rinsola and instantly lifted the Falcons’ attack.

Her quick passes, smart link-up play and fearless pressing kept Tunisia on the back foot throughout the second half at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca.
The AFC Toronto forward constantly pulled apart the Tunisian defence, created openings, won fouls, and set up Chinwendu Ihezuo with a precise assist for Nigeria’s third goal in the 84th minute.
The versatile attacker had been tipped to start but had to start the match on the bench.
Though she rattled the crossbar in the 68th minute and narrowly missed scoring, her presence changed the flow of the match — exactly the kind of impact she spoke about.

Speaking to CAFonline, Okoronkwo said, “It doesn’t matter where I start — what matters is the impact I have on the game.”
Okoronkwo ready for bigger impact at WAFCON 2025
The 28-year-old forward already has six goals in 15 games for the Nigerian team before 2025 WAFCON.
Her determination to deliver every time, whether starting or from the bench, gives Nigeria fans more reasons to dream of lifting the trophy.
