The Super Falcons recorded two wins in the two matches by scoring five goals—two against Haiti and three against New Zealand.

The team conceded only one goal against the South American nation of Haiti.
The goal scorers in the match against Haiti were Esther Okoronkwo and Asisat Oshoala.

Captain Onome Ebi, new Super Falcons attacking sensation Jennifer Echegini, and Desire Oparanozie hit the net against New Zealand.

It was heartwarming to see the team recover from the earlier successive losses against the United States of America, Japan, and Canada with only a one-nil face-saving victory against Costa Rica.
