Samu Omorodion may have delivered a standout performance with two goals, but the young striker is upset and couldn’t hide his frustration after FC Porto’s thrilling 3-3 draw against Manchester United in the UEFA Europa League at Estádio do Dragão.
Despite his heroics, Porto were denied a win by a last-minute header from Harry Maguire, Footballrover reports.
United raced to a 2-0 lead within the first 20 minutes, with Marcus Rashford opening the scoring in the 7th minute and Rasmus Højlund doubling the advantage shortly after.
However, Porto responded with resilience. Pepê pulled one back, and Omorodion levelled the score just minutes later, heading home from João Mario’s perfect cross in the 34th minute.

Omorodion then put Porto ahead early in the second half, blasting the ball into the net after a well-timed pass from Pepê.
Unfortunately for Porto, Maguire’s late equaliser snatched away what could have been a memorable victory for the home side.
Omorodion’s reaction: goals aren’t enough
After the game, Omorodion was open about his disappointment. While pleased with his individual performance, the 20-year-old forward couldn’t shake off the feeling of an opportunity missed.
“We left upset, as the team reacted well after losing 0-2. I’m very upset, but we have to keep working to win the next games,” Omorodion told the official website of Porto,” he shared with Porto’s official channels.
Omorodion emphasised how well the team responded after conceding early.
“After the two goals conceded, we knew how to react and turned things around, but we were punished for a set piece. Still, I’m proud of the team’s work,” he added.
Despite his brace, the result left him dissatisfied.
“I feel very good, but today I leave here sad about the draw,” Samu concluded.
Incredible form for Porto’s new star
Omorodion has been nothing short of remarkable since his arrival at Porto.
The Spanish-Nigerian striker has found the back of the net in five consecutive matches, scoring seven goals in just six appearances.

Even more impressive, he has started only four of those games, showing off his impact and efficiency whenever he’s on the pitch.
With his current form, Omorodion is proving to be a key figure for Porto, but it’s clear he’s aiming for more than personal accolades—he wants results that push the team toward greater success.
