Feyenoord advanced to the UEFA Europa Conference League semi-finals with a 1-3 second-leg victory over Slavia Prague, thanks to two goals from Cyriel Dessers.

Feyenoord progressed to the Semifinals with a 6-4 aggregate victory courtesy of a well-taken brace by Cyriel Dessers.

Both teams were coming off a 3-3 draw in the first leg of their Europa Conference League quarterfinal matchup last week.

The Nigerian forward displayed tremendous insight by capitalizing on a defensive blunder by Slavia Prague and scoring after only two minutes of game play.

Slavia Prague, on the other hand, gathered themselves and responded twelve minutes later through Ibrahim Traore.

Feyenoord dominated the second half, and Dessers – the loanee from Genk – scored again following a mistake by Slavia Prague goalkeeper Ales Mandous just 14 minutes after the restart.

The game was full of frequent attacks, with both teams having chances. Feyenoord, on the other end, struck again through Luis Sinisterra to make the score 3-1.

It’s the 27-year-old striker’s fifteenth goal in all competitions and eighth in the Conference League this season.

In the 81st minute, Dessers had a chance to complete his hat-trick and extend his side’s lead, but Mandous saved him.

The Super Eagles star is steadily establishing himself as the Europa Conference League’s master, as they cruised to a comfortable victory to advance to the semi-finals.
