The Premier League 2022/23 season is expected to be more competitive than ever, but Brazilian defender – Thiago Silva strongly believes that Chelsea can still pull through to win it.

The likes of Man City, Arsenal, and Tottenham have all made important additions this summer, and Man Utd and Liverpool have also made some smart moves, making the forthcoming season an enticing possibility.

After losing defenders Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen as well as striker Romelu Lukaku, Chelsea, which placed third last their last campaign, is now looking like a weaker side.

However, Man City star – Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli have replaced them respectively.

The experienced center-back – Silva genuinely believes the Thomas Tuchel side can still win domestically despite the tough opposition they will be facing real soon.

When questioned about his plans for the upcoming season, Silva gave the following response in an interview with the club’s official website:

“To win the Premier League. It’s a very difficult league to play in, but I think it’s possible.” – he said.

After a difficult preseason, Thiago Silva revealed that he and his teammates are not quite prepared for Saturday’s season opener against Everton.

“We have to do things well now during the week before the start of the Premier League. I think we are not at 100% quite yet, but we must work hard and well this week to arrive ready for Saturday.” – Thiago Silva said.

This season, Thiago Silva will team up with Koulibaly for the Blues, and many fans believe they both play with a sense of purpose and passion.

The pair will fight for the ball and provide their absolute best effort in their defense. Chelsea must feel so fortunate to have the pair of them because they are everything the defense needs.
