Following Liverpool’s 6-1 Premier League victory over Leeds United at Elland Road, Jurgen Klopp has been singing the team’s praises for their relentless attacking performance.

On Monday, the Reds easily brushed the Whites aside, grabbing all three points courtesy of goals from Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota, who found the back of the net twice with goals from Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez as well.

In the second half, Luis Sinisterra momentarily reduced the hosts’ lead, but Klopp’s team easily prevailed to take home the victory.

Liverpool snapped out of their four-match winless streak by crushing Leeds United emphatically in their Premier League match at Elland Road.

Just before the interval, Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah gave the visitors a 2-0 lead, but Luis Sinisterra handed Leeds a chance to get back into the game after Ibrahima Konate made a costly error.

Before Liverpool took advantage of shoddy defending to take the game by storm with Diogo Jota reestablishing Liverpool’s two-goal advantage.

Prior to Darwin Nunez scoring a sixth goal in the closing seconds, Salah and Jota each scored two goals.

And how did Jürgen Klopp respond to Liverpool’s relentless attacking display against Leeds United?

While discussing the aspects of the game that most delighted him, Klopp highlighted the following:

“I don’t know. What pleased me most? The moment of the game, the best one I enjoyed the most, was the 92nd minute. I think it was already five or six-one, we lose the ball and four players chase the poor, poor player from Leeds down in that moment. I think that’s the basis for the whole game because that gave us stability. It was, from a counter-pressing point of view, definitely the best game we played this season. In possession probably as well.”

After giving up 11 goals in their past two home games, Leeds currently appears to be in serious relegation danger. Jurgen Klopp and his Liverpool side will now aim to move up to the top six in their remaining games.

On Saturday at Craven Cottage, Leeds United will play their next game against Fulham. On the same day, Liverpool will host Nottingham Forest at Anfield.
