Nottingham Forest has named none other than the Super Eagles’ striking sensation, Taiwo Awoniyi as August Player of the Month.
Awoniyi secured this prestigious title by amassing an impressive number of votes from devoted Forest fans.
He’s been on fire this season, continuing his outstanding form from the previous one, with three goals and an assist in just four Premier League games.
In August alone, Taiwo Awoniyi dazzled with three goals contributions in three thrilling matches.
This remarkable feat made him only the third African player in history to score in seven consecutive Premier League games.
But that’s not all! Awoniyi’s incredible nine goals in seven consecutive Premier League appearances not only set a Forest record but also earned him a well-deserved nomination for the August Premier League Player of the Month award.
He didn’t stop there. Awoniyi displayed his prowess by finding the back of the net against two Premier League powerhouses – Arsenal and Manchester United – as well as newcomers Sheffield United.
This extraordinary performance led to him clinching the coveted monthly accolade.
