Anderlecht, unbeaten since October and riding a four-game winning streak, arrived at the Cegeka Arena as formidable opponents.

His consistency has made him a key figure in Genk’s four-point lead over second-placed Club Brugge, who have a game in hand.
Arokodare aims to be ‘more clinical’

“Today, we made history, and I’m incredibly proud of the team and the unwavering support of our fans.
“Their energy fuelled our performance. These moments are crucial for our club’s growth. By remaining patient and controlling the game, we asserted our dominance from the outset, which is reflected in the result.
“I’m delighted with my goal and assist, though I must admit I could have been more clinical (laughs). Ultimately, it’s about the team’s victory,” he told the club’s website.
