The Nigerian international, still fresh from the AFCON 2023 tournament, displayed his scoring ability, but despite his goal, Nice succumbed to a 2-1 loss at Toulouse, Footballrover reports.

Taking the lead early in the game, Moffi’s goal in the eighth minute hinted at a positive outcome for Nice.

However, despite his early strike, the Eagles couldn’t maintain their advantage.

Throughout the match, Moffi was a prominent figure leading Nice’s attacking line.

But then, his team’s form has been waning, with three defeats in their last four games.
Although Moffi’s goal provided a glimmer of hope, Toulouse mounted a strong comeback in the second half.

The Nigerian striker was replaced by Gaetan Laborde in the 64th minute, just before Toulouse’s resurgence.

Toulouse capitalised on Moffi’s absence, netting two quick goals in the second half through Thijs Dallinga and Yann Gboho in the 65th and 69th minutes, respectively.

Despite Moffi’s efforts, Nice succumbed to their sixth defeat of the season, ending the match with a 2-1 loss to Toulouse.

Moffi’s goal marked his seventh in the Ligue 1 campaign for Les Aiglons.

He has contributed two assists this season, showcasing his all-around attacking capabilities.
