The Premier League game between Leicester City and Nottingham Forest resulted in a crushing defeat for two Nigerian players – Taiwo Awoniyi and Emmanuel Dennis, who both had a rough day at the office during the Super Eagles Derby.
The Super Eagles Derby ended in favour of Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi, as Leicester City cruised to a 4-0 win over their visitors.
Ndidi and Awoniyi started off the game, while the former played for 45 minutes, the latter came off in 62nd minute.
Emmanuel Dennis came into the game in second half to replace Awoniyi and only featured for 28 minutes. Kelechi Iheanacho was an unused substitute in the matchday 9.
Leicester won easily against fellow underachievers Nottingham Forest to record their first Premier League victory in fine fashion.
Although the Brendan Rodgers’ men kicked off the match with three points behind their opponents, Cooper’s team were hoping to secure a win and move out of relegation zone.
Leicester City had a quick start and scored their first goal of the game in the 25th minute when Maddison’s shot was deflected into the goal by McKenna.

They increased their lead two minutes later when Barnes buried Vardy’s cutback, leaving Henderson with little chance.
When Maddison floated a stunning free kick into the post to double his tally of the game and produce Leicester’s third goals, leaving Forest goalie helpless.
On what would turn out to be a disastrous night for Cooper and Forest, Daka came off the bench to wrap up the thrashing and clinch all three points for the hosts.
Forest had three good scoring chances despite appearing lost, which is not surprising given their transfer activity.
Awoniyi missed the first scoring opportunity when he hit the woodwork, Lingard also had a chance but missed the opportunity, before Gibbs-White’s header went right into Ward’s arms.
Leicester City came out of the blocks flying tonight and they’ve kept that intensity throughout.
Massive stroke of luck when Taiwo Awoniyi hit the post but the Foxes have been the better side in every department.

Looking at the game, Forest made Leicester appear like a cozy mid-table team, which may indicate the challenge Cooper seriously need to sort out, if he doesn’t get sacked soon.
