Where was Victor Osimhen when his Napoli team cruised to a comfortable win over Calvin Bassey’s Ajax during their Champions League game on Tuesday night??

The Super Eagles forward went missing at Johan Cruijff Arena due to a muscle injury when his team mates crushed his compatriot and his Ajax colleagues in a seven-goal thriller in their own stadium.

Calvin Bassey’s Ajax were no match for the Italian side as the Eredivisie team were shockingly defeated 6-1 in the UEFA Champions League Group A game.

Ajax made their Champions League return after a three-game winless streak that started off with a close 2-1 loss to Liverpool away from home last month.

The Dutch champions needed a win at home in the Champions League group stage for a sixth time in a row to increase their chances of progressing to the round of 16.

While their opponents were already in first place in their group after winning their first two games in the Champions League.

Since they have won their last six games, the Luciano Spalletti’s team, which has also led the competition in scoring thus far this season, arrived Amsterdam in high momentum.

The second half saw the reigning Dutch champions fall apart as they let up three more goals, and Tadic’s dismissal only made matters worse.

Due to their third straight Champions League victory, Napoli now leads Group A by three points over Liverpool, who defeated Rangers 2-0.
