Super Eagles Goalkeeper – Adebayo Adeleye has been enthusiastic with his team’s performance versus Hapoel Tel Aviv, a fierce rivalry that has existed between the two clubs for many years.
In Sunday’s match at Bloomfield Stadium against Kobi Refua’s team, Adebayo Adeleye and his colleagues overturned a goal deficit to win 3-1 and earn all three points.
Hapoel Jerusalem only needed two goals in the first half and one late in the second to earn the victory in their Israeli Premier League away game.
Even though the visitors had a strong early advantage, it was the home team, through Alen Ozbolt, who scored the game’s first goal barely 22 minutes in.
After Ofek Biton immediately tied the score four minutes later for the visiting team, Guy Badash gave the Aleksandar Diki team the lead with another goal just before halftime.
As Hapoel Tel Aviv persisted in trying to get back into the game, Ondrej Baco produced another goal for the visitors in the 71st minute by scoring the game-winning goal.
Adebayo Adeleye and his teammates climb up to second place in the Israeli Premier League standings after the victory, just one point behind league-leading Maccabi Haifa and eleven points ahead of their hosts.
The 22-year-old Nigerian goalie commented on his twitter page shortly after the match, saying;
“It takes courage and good character to bounce back after conceding the first goal. Really excited that we won 3-1 and move to second place in the league.”
