Enugu Rangers head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu has sounded a note of caution as his side prepares to face Sagrada Esperanca in the CAF Champions League second preliminary round reverse leg in Luanda, Angola.
Despite their narrow 1-0 victory in the first leg, Ilechukwu acknowledges the threat posed by the Angolan side, footballrover reports.
Speaking ahead of the decisive clash, Ilechukwu admitted that the Angolan side has players capable of causing problems for his team, highlighting the challenge that lies ahead.
“It is clear that they have players that can give us problems,” he stated, emphasising the challenge ahead for the Nigeria Premier League champions.
Fidelis Ilechukwu and his boys secured the first-leg victory thanks to a late strike from Kazeem Ogunleye, who found the back of the net just 12 minutes before the final whistle.
The victory at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo put the Flying Antelopes in a favourable position, but Ilechukwu is aware that the tie is far from over.
While expressing concern about the quality of Sagrada Esperanca, the Rangers boss remains confident that his team has what it takes to get the job done in Angola.

The coach highlighted the team’s readiness to repeat their performance from the first leg and secure passage to the next round.
“We equally have what it takes to wrap up the contest in Luanda, Angola,” he said.
The Coal City side, consisting of players and officials, departed Nigeria on Wednesday, flying from Akanu Ibiam International Airport to Lagos before boarding a direct flight to Luanda.
The team arrived in the Angolan capital on Thursday, with final preparations underway for Saturday’s showdown.
The crucial encounter will be held at the November 11 Stadium in Luanda, with kickoff scheduled for 3:30 pm local time.

The Antilopes will be hoping to maintain their slim advantage and progress to the group stages of the CAF Champions League, but they first face the challenge Sagrada Esperanca presents on their home soil.
