Paul Onuachu was on target for KRC Genk as they came from behind to grab an important victory over Sporting Charleroi in the Belgian Pro League on Tuesday night.
The Super Eagles forward scored with a spectacular diving header as KRC Genk defeated Charleroi 3-2 at the Cegeka Arena.
Sporting Charleroi found back of the net 34 minutes into the game through their powerful Midfielder – Marco Ilaimaharitra and held on to the advantage through the interval in a tense first half between both sides.
Before the Nigerian forward, 27, hauled his team back 10 minutes into the second half. Four minutes later, Ken Nkuba’s side was trailing after his own-goal put the hosts ahead.
Colombian defender Carlos Cuesta then doubled KRC Genk’s advantage 65 minutes in before Daan Heymans, on loan from Serie A club Venezia, managed to bring one back for his side seven minutes later but it was too late as the home side held on to secure the win.
Paul Onuachu is clearly looking strong in front of goal this season, with 24 goals and two assists in 38 games for Genk.
He’ll be searching for more goals in their upcoming meeting against Gent on Sunday.
