Seems John Terry might have a slim clue on whom Chelsea will appoint as the next new head coach to take over from Thomas Tuchel after his departure from Stamford Bridge.

Following their Champions League loss to Dinamo Zagreb, Chelsea announced on Wednesday morning that head coach Thomas Tuchel has departed the Premier League club.

A club statement released on Wednesday morning read:

“On behalf of everyone at Chelsea FC, the Club would like to place on record its gratitude to Thomas and his staff for all their efforts during their time with the Club. Thomas will rightly have a place in Chelsea’s history after winning the Champions League, the Super Cup and Club World Cup in his time here. 

“As the new ownership group reaches 100 days since taking over the Club, and as it continues its hard work to take the club forward, the new owners believe it is the right time to make this transition. 

“Chelsea’s coaching staff will take charge of the team for training and the preparation of our upcoming matches as the Club moves swiftly to appoint a new head coach. 

“There will be no further comment until a new head coach appointment is made.”

Thomas Tuchel was fired on Wednesday morning when the new Chelsea owners, Todd Boehly, summoned him to a face to face meeting around 9:30am to discuss the decision.

It appears that John Terry foresaw Tuchel’s departure because the Chelsea legend obviously stopped believing in him and moved on even before now.

He was so certain that the sacking would happen but many fans assumed he was simply complimenting his countryman when he took to social media to show his admiration for Brighton head coach.

Meanwhile, Footballrover gathered that Chelsea owner is considering to appoint either Graham Potter or Former Tottenham coach – Mauricio Pochettino as the new manager.
