Thomas Tuchel Chelsea has been drawn for the second time against Real Madrid during the Champions League quarter-finals draw on Friday.
A rematch of last season’s semi-final, but Chelsea’s ability to fulfil the fixture will be questioned given Roman Abramovich’s recent punishments.
Manchester City, on the other hand, will be facing Atletico Madrid who defeated United 1-0 earlier this week in Manchester.
Recall that Pep Guardiola was kicked out of the competition by the Diego Simeone’s side while managing Bayern Munich. Seems the Spanish side don’t entertain and have no love for any team from Manchester π€π€π€
Following victories over Inter Milan and Ajax, JΓΌrgen Klopp and his Red army will be heading to Benfica.
While Villarreal’s compensation for defeating Juventus is a match against Bayern Munich, which will be far more difficult for the Unai Emery team to win.
The defending champions – Chelsea and their Premier League counterparts, also last year’s runner up, Manchester City are on the same side of the draw and will meet each other in the semi-final in April should they win their fixtures.
Bayern will face Liverpool if they both get to win as well.
