Cyriel Dessers was the undisputed star of the show as Rangers and Union Berlin served up a pre-season feast and entertaining football that ended in a thrilling 4-4 draw.

The Super Eagles striker was in pretty form, bagging a brace to show he’s ready to fire Rangers to glory this season, Footballrover reports.

Dessers opened the scoring with a cool finish in the eight-goal thriller. He wasn’t done there, though!

The Nigerian hitman added a second goal to complete his double and rescue a point for his side in a game that had more twists and turns than a rollercoaster.

It was an exciting game of football right from the first whistle to the final one.

The Germans raced into an early lead, but Rangers hit back with a vengeance, with Tom Lawrence grabbing a quickfire double to put them in front.

But wait, there’s more! Union Berlin refused to lie down and battled back to level things up before the break.

The second half was just as crazy. The Bundesliga outfit regained the lead, but Dessers had other ideas.

His second goal of the game ensured the spoils were shared in a match that will live long in the memory.

Both Dessers and fellow Nigerian Leon Balogun were replaced with 10 minutes to go as Rangers made final changes.

Brazilian star Danilo replaced Dessers while Balogun made way for Ben Davies.

With the new season just around the corner, this performance will have sent a clear message to the rest of the Scottish Premiership: Rangers and Dessers are ready for business.
