The in-form Nigerian marksman scored Rangers’ second goal of the match, bringing his tally to 26 goals for the season, along with six assists across all competitions, Footballrover reports.

It was also his 15th goal in the Scottish Premiership this term, showing his crucial role in the squad’s attacking force.

Dessers thought he had put Rangers ahead just before the half-time whistle, only for the goal to be ruled out by VAR for offside.

The first half ended goalless, but the breakthrough came in the 55th minute when Václav Černý calmly slotted home after a neat setup from Nicolas Raskin.

Six minutes later, Raskin was at it again—threading a precise pass to Cyriel Dessers, who made no mistake in finishing past Kelle Roos to double Rangers’ lead.

The goal marked Dessers’ third in as many games and continued his fine scoring streak in the closing stages of the season.

Leon Balogun, another Super Eagles stalwart, made a late appearance in the 79th minute, coming on for Neraysho Kasanwirjo.

His presence helped shore up the backline and maintain Rangers’ clean sheet.

The win brought an end to a six-game winless run for Rangers—comprising four draws and two losses—as they continue to maintain their second-place standing with 71 points, trailing behind newly crowned champions Celtic.

With just two matches remaining, against Dundee United and Hibernian, Rangers will look to finish the campaign on a high, fuelled by the sharp form of Cyriel Dessers.
