However, despite his effort, Al-Wedha faced a narrow 2-1 defeat against Al-Ittihad on Monday evening at the King Abdullah Sports City, Footballrover reports.

Ighalo opened the scoring during the first half, providing hope for Al-Wedha. But the team couldn’t maintain their lead, conceding two late goals despite Al-Ittihad playing with ten men.

The match started with both teams struggling to break the deadlock, but Ighalo changed the narrative ten minutes before halftime with a clinical finish, giving the visitors the lead.

As the game progressed into the second half, both sides pushed for goals.

The home team were later reduced to 10 men when Muhammad Al Mosa received a red card towards the end of regulation time, but that didn’t stop Abderrazak Hamdallah from scoring four minutes after that.

The 33-year-old Moroccan forward produced the game’s winning goal to hand his team the victory and all three points.

The Nigerian forward has also scored double-digit goals in the Saudi Pro League, with 10 goals under his belt in 19 league appearances.

Al-Wedha currently sits in ninth place with 26 points, trailing Al-Ittihad by 11 points and league leaders Al-Hilal by 33 points.
