Super Eagles – Shehu Abdullahi has expressed his delight after his club side, Omonia Nicosia, qualified for the Cypriot Cup final on Wednesday.
The 29-year-old, who expressed his excitement at making it through, admitted that the encounter was challenging, but that the fans helped to make the atmosphere electrifying.
After a mixed season, he emphasized that his team’s commitment to the badge has remained the same.
Omonia advanced to the Cup final after defeating Anorthosis Famagusta 3-1 on aggregate in the semi-final.
Omonia won the first leg 2-0 and drew the second leg 1-1, with Shehu Abdullahi playing all 90 minutes.
The Neil Lennon side took the lead after just six minutes through Adam Lang and were reduced to ten men four minutes later after Héctor Yuste received a marching order.
Before Anorthosis equalized in the 23rd minute thanks to Amr Warda.

Shehu Abdullahi and his Super Eagles partner Francis Uzoho will now have the opportunity to compete for a trophy after qualifying for the Cypriot Cup final.
On May 25, 2022, Omonia Nicosia will meet Ethnikos in the final.
