The Visitors came from two goals down to deny the Blues a welcome party for their new owner – Todd Boehly, who barely had a good game at the Bridge.

Chelsea’s current slump has cast doubt on their predicted top-three finish, as the Blues have lost three of their last six league games, the same number as they had in their first 28 games of the season.

To avoid reopening the door for Arsenal and Tottenham below them in the table, they needed to get back on track, the Thomas Tuchel’s team did disappoint.

Wolves, on the other hand, had lost each of their previous three Premier League games by a combined score of 5-0.

Both teams were sluggish in the first half, even though Wolves appeared the brighter side and had a couple of chances to take the lead, but the game finished goalless.

But the Tuchel side bounced back to grab the lead in 56th minutes as Lukaku stepped up and coolly dispatched a penalty kick to make it 2-0.

Two minues later, he doubled his tally and doubled Chelsea’s their lead as well with his 7th Premier League goal of the season.

Wolves gambled around at the back and Pulisic sneaks in to win possession. The American slides in Lukaku who beats Sa with a stunning curled effort.

And to think its game over for the visitors, Wolved pulled one back through Trincao, who came off the bench barely 11 minutes to stoppage time to make an immediate impact.

The Blues were unable to maintain their 2-1 lead, with Coady snatching a point for Wolves at the death.

At the end of the game, the Wolves captain came forward as an extra striker to get on the end of Chiquinho’s cross and nod it into the far post for a 2-2 scoreline.
