Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen is proving unstoppable, scoring in his 3rd straight game to lift Galatasaray over arch-rival Beşiktaş in a thrilling 2-1 victory on Monday night at RAMS Park.
The 25-year-old Nigerian’s goal not only sealed his fourth of the season but also helped push Galatasaray further ahead in the Turkish Super Lig standings, Footballrover reports.
From the first whistle, Galatasaray showed intent, building on their recent 3-0 win over Antalyaspor.
Early on, Davinson Sánchez struck to give them a lead, thanks to a well-placed free kick from Gabriel Sara that Sánchez headed low into the left corner, leaving the Beşiktaş goalkeeper with no chance.
Victor Osimhen extends scoring streak
Sixty-seven minutes into the game, Osimhen doubled the lead with a powerful header off another Sara free kick, finding the back of the net from near the penalty spot.
The goal, Osimhen’s third in as many matches, showed his precise timing and aerial strength as he outmaneuvered Beşiktaş defenders to secure a vital second goal for Galatasaray.
Fifteen minutes later, Osimhen made way for Dries Mertens.
However, in stoppage time, Beşiktaş’s Ernest Muci narrowed the gap with a well-placed strike that deflected off the post and into the top corner, but Galatasaray held on to claim victory.

It’s Victor Osimhen’s six goal involvements this season — four goals and two assists —he continues to be instrumental for Galatasaray, who now lead the league by six points.
The win also marks Galatasaray’s third consecutive league victory, reinforcing their top position and adding momentum as they prepare for a crucial Europa League face-off with Tottenham on Thursday.
