Luton Town’s star Victor Moses has issued a rallying cry to his teammates, urging them to give their all as they prepare for a crucial Championship clash against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on Saturday, December 14.

The experienced Nigerian player, who joined the Hatters in September, emphasised the importance of building on their recent victory and striving for another massive win on the road, Footballrover reports.

The veteran Super Eagles star with over 220 Premier League appearances knows the gruelling nature of the EFL Championship.

Reflecting on Luton’s hard-fought 2-1 win over Stoke City earlier in the week, he explained the significance of carrying that momentum into their away fixture.

Moses, named man of the match against Stoke, called for an extra 120 percent effort from his teammates to secure all three points at Blackburn.

Victor Moses stressed the challenges of the Championship, noting that no game is easy. He emphasised the importance of a win against Blackburn on Saturday, calling it crucial.

“You know when you win a game, mostly home game, playing away again, we have to put in that extra 120 percent to get another three points,” he said.

Luton’s dramatic comeback sets the stage

Luton’s midweek victory is giving Moses the momentum to charge his teammates ahead. Despite conceding early to Tom Cannon’s strike in the sixth minute, the Hatters staged a remarkable comeback.

Carlton Morris equalised with a powerful header in the 24th minute, while Elijah Adebayo sealed the win with a last-gasp finish in the 90th minute.

The victory propelled Luton Town to 14th in the standings, with 22 points from 20 games.

Victor Moses, who has started nine of his 13 league appearances this season, remains a key figure, bringing top-flight experience and leadership to the squad.

Speaking on how he was able to settle into the team, the 33-year-old Nigerian said,

“Um!! Yeah!! I’m very happy; the lads, they welcomed me very well. Good, good lads. I’m very happy to be back home again. I just want to keep on enjoying my football. I just want to keep on helping the team as much as I can.

But then again, I want to play football; I want to keep on enjoying my football, and Luton Town gave me that opportunity. I want to keep improving myself.”
