The Super Eagles duo inspired Leverkusen to a 5-1 win over Frankfurt, helping the new German Champions end their campaign in stunning fashion.

This win equaled Benfica’s 59-year unbeaten European record, set between December 1963 and February 1965.

Adam Hlozek provided three assists, while Granit Xhaka, Patrik Schick, Exequiel Palacios, Jeremie Frimpong, and Victor Boniface scored the goals.

Boniface’s penalty in the 87th minute sealed the win and extended Leverkusen’s lead over Bayern Munich to 15 points.

Leverkusen’s dominant performance saw Nathan Tella win a penalty and provide width at right wing-back, while Victor Boniface came off the bench to score his 12th league goal of the season.

Xabi Alonso’s team is on track for a treble, having secured the Bundesliga title and holding a 2-0 lead against Roma in the UEFA Europa League semi-final.
