Initially ruled out for offside, a VAR review lasting approximately four minutes confirmed the legitimacy of Lookman’s goal.
Subsequently, in the 79th minute, Lookman made way for Mario Pasalic, while Genoa launched an offensive push.
In the closing stages of the game, a swift counterattack resulted in Ederson securing the second goal, sealing the match with a 2-0 victory for Atalanta.
This remarkable goal marked Lookman’s 16th in 40 appearances for Atalanta in Serie A, and notably, it allowed him to achieve an impressive milestone.
