The match, held at the Hristo Botev Stadium on Saturday, saw 19-year-old Nigerian forward Emmanuel Umeh make a remarkable impact, scoring two crucial goals to secure his team’s win.

Umeh’s brace, achieved within just 22 minutes of his second-half introduction, proved pivotal in Botev Plovdiv’s away triumph in the Parva Liga, Footballrover reports

The young striker’s impressive performance highlighted his potential as a rising star in Bulgarian football.

The match was a rollercoaster of emotions, with both teams exchanging the lead throughout the game.

Brayan Perea opened the scoring for Botev Vratsa in the 3rd minute, but Yanis Karabelyov quickly responded for Botev Plovdiv, equalizing just two minutes later.

Faustas Steponavičius then put Botev Plovdiv ahead in the 27th minute, ending the first half with a 2-1 advantage for the visitors.

The second half continued the thrilling back-and-forth action.

Marco Majouga leveled the score for Botev Vratsa in the 50th minute, but Umeh restored Botev Plovdiv’s lead just five minutes later.

Perea struck again in the 63rd minute, bringing the score to 3-3 and keeping the game on a knife’s edge.

However, Botev Plovdiv was determined to secure the win. Umeh’s second goal in the 77th minute, followed by Antoine Baroan’s strike three minutes later, sealed the deal for the visitors, ending the match with a resounding 5-3 victory.

Despite the crucial win, Botev Plovdiv remains in 11th place with 15 points, just five points clear of the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, Botev Vratsa continues to fight against relegation, holding just 10 points.

For Umeh, his two goals in the match bring his tally to two goals in nine appearances in the Bulgarian First League.

The young Nigerian forward will be looking to continue his goal-scoring momentum in Botev Plovdiv’s next fixture against Lokomotiv Sofia at the Hristo Botev Stadium on Sunday.
