In Thursday night’s Europa Conference League match between Villarreal and Hajduk Split, Super Eagles star player – Samuel Chukwueze contributed yet another assist to his tally.

Samuel Chukwueze displayed a remarkable play in Villarreal’s triumph over Chidozie Awaziem’s Hajduk Split team in the first leg of the UECL fourth qualifying round.

The 23-year-old wing wizard – Samuel Chukwueze showed off his dribbling prowess and contributed significantly to the Yellow Submarines’ 4-2 victory over Hajduk Split at home.

The Super Eagles winger played the entire 90 minutes in the six-goal thriller at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia, helping to set up the yellow submarine’s third goal.

The Spanish team had a three-goal advantage at the interval. Hajduk Split scored first, but the Yellows responded with goals from Jose Morales twice, Gerard Moreno once, and an own goal.

Stipe Biuk handed the visitors the lead just two minutes into the match, giving them an early advantage. José Luis Morales then replied for Spanish side 14 minutes into the game, before Villarreal regained the lead courtesy of Marko Livaja’s own goal five minutes later.

Morales scored his second goal of the game in the 36th minute with help from Samuel Chukwueze and Gerard Moreno added a fourth goal just before halftime to make it 4-1.

Despite the fact that Samuel Chukwueze is yet to score a goal this season, his recent performance is fairly promising after recording his second assist in two games.

The Nigerian international only produced two assists for Villarreal last season across all competitions.

While Chidozie Awaziem, who played DM for Hajduk Split, did not perform up to expectations and received a yellow card in the 73rd minute of the game, Samuel Chukwueze had a stellar performance yesterday night.
