Super Falcons stars Ashleigh Plumptre and Francisca Ordega are in the spotlight after being shortlisted for the Saudi Women’s League POTM award.
The Nigerian duo were both instrumental for Al Ittihad Ladies throughout the month and are now among the top contenders for the monthly prize, Footballrover reports.
Super Falcons stars: A delight to watch at Al Ittihad
Ordega put in a remarkable attacking display, bagging four goals and assisting three more in just three league appearances.
Her pace, creativity, and clinical finishing made her one of the standout performers in the Saudi Women’s Premier League.
Not to be outdone, fellow Super Falcons star Ashleigh Plumptre also displayed her versatility by contributing to both defence and attack.
The 26-year-old defender scored twice and provided three assists, proving she’s much more than just a backline stalwart for Al Ittihad.
Saudi Women’s League POTM race heats up
The Super Falcons stars will go head-to-head with Al-Ahli’s Naomie Kabakaba, who also impressed with five goals in three games.
With such standout numbers across the board, the competition for the Saudi Women’s League POTM award is expected to be fierce.
Fans can participate in the voting process via the official X (formerly Twitter) page of the Saudi Women’s Premier League.
However, voting closes on Wednesday, April 16, with the winner expected to be announced after that.
