Montpellier HSC Féminines secured yet another vital win during their league game on Saturday afternoon, and once again, Super Falcons star Ifeoma Onumonu was on target as they beat Saint-Étienne in an away clash.
In a one-sided affair at the Stade Salif Keita, the Nigerian forward delivered the match-winning goal once again to ensure her team continued their winning run after a narrow victory in their last outing, Footballrover reports.
The visiting side entered the match eager to continue to build on their 1-0 win against Nantes in their previous league game—an encounter where Onumonu’s only strike sealed the deal.
Determined to enjoy more victories, Montpellier pushed hard away from home, with Onumonu scoring the second goal of the game.

The decisive moment came just two minutes before halftime when Ifeoma powered her effort past the Saint-Étienne goalkeeper.
Although her goal came after Lola Gstalter had initially handed the visitors the lead barely three minutes into the game.
It was another impressive goal in her fourth consecutive games for the club, as she keeps proving her worth since joining the French side in their new campaign.
At the closing moments of the game, the home side found themselves reduced to ten players after Chloe Tapia received a second yellow card.
However, Montpellier held on firmly to their two goal lead to secure the vital three points at the end of the final whistle.
With this 2-0 victory, the away team climbed to fifth place in the Division 1 Féminine standings, collecting 16 points as they continue to chase the league leaders Lyon, who are seven points clear.
For Saint-Étienne, the defeat leaves them four points adrift in seventh place.
Montpellier’s recent form now boasts four wins and one draw from their last five games.
Onumonu’s personal tally has also been impressive, with the 30-year-old scoring five goals in eight appearances this season.
As Montpellier turn their focus to their next match against Dijon Foot, the Nigerian international, whose consistent performances are proving crucial to the team, will be looking to continue to shine for her team.
