Galatasaray has made yet another move to snap up Super Falcons star Flourish Chioma Sabastine, a young and promising talent eager to make her mark on European football.
The 20-year-old Nigerian forward has joined the Turkish champions on a one-year deal, adding to the growing Nigerian influence at Galatasaray, Footballrover reports.
Yet, her journey here is only the beginning, and expectations are high.
Sabastine, who transferred from French club Stade Reims, brings with her a track record of success in Nigerian football, including a Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) title with Bayelsa United.
Her achievements also extend to the international stage, where she helped Bayelsa United secure a third-place finish at the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco.

The young striker’s arrival reunites her with fellow Super Falcons defender Oluwatosin Demehin, who also joined Galatasaray recently.
Together, they add depth to a roster that aims to climb the Turkish Women’s Super League standings and push for success in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
Currently sixth in the Turkish Women’s Super League, Galatasaray is determined to strengthen its position with the addition of top talents like Sabastine.
The Turkish club has seen a growing Nigerian presence, with Sabastine becoming the third Nigerian player to join the Yellow and Reds.
She follows in the footsteps of Demehin and Victor Osimhen, the African Footballer of the Year, who has already made an impact on the men’s team with his impressive goal tally.
Sabastine’s journey with Galatasaray is seen as an opportunity for her to shine alongside other international stars, with her sights set on emulating Osimhen’s early success.
