Super Eagles defender Zaidu Sanusi was completely missing in action when his side FC Porto lifted the Portuguese Super Cup in dramatic fashion at the Estádio Municipal de Aveiro on Saturday.
The Nigerian left-back was a notable absentee as FC Porto staged a miraculous comeback to clinch the Portuguese Super Cup, Footballrover reports.
The Dragons were staring down the barrel of a humiliating defeat after going 3-0 down to Sporting Lisbon within the opening half hour.
However, a stunning second-half fightback, capped off by extra-time drama, saw Porto lift the trophy in the end.

Unfortunately, Sanusi couldn’t be part of the action. The 27-year-old defender is still on the mend after suffering a nasty knee injury in February.
The setback has kept him sidelined, and he’s not expected to return to the pitch until early September.
Sporting Lisbon looked unstoppable early on, with goals from Goncalo Inacio, Pedro Goncalves, and Geovany Quenda putting them firmly in the driving seat.
But Porto refused to give up. Galeno pulled one back before the break, and Nico Gonzalez and Galeno’s second goal levelled the score, forcing extra time.
The drama continued into the additional period, with Ivan Jaime’s strike sealing a thrilling 4-3 win for Porto.

It was a night to remember for the Dragons, even without their Nigerian star.
