In recent transfer news, Kano Pillars youngsters Yusuf Abdullahi has hit the headline once again after making a ground-breaking move, dumping the Nigerian league to join Bodo/Glimt.
Footballrover understands that the 18-year-old NPFL record breaker has officially moved to the top Norwegian club, Bodo/Glimt.
This momentous transfer follows in the footsteps of Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface, who also kick-started his European journey with Bodo/Glimt under the guidance of super agent Atta Aneke.
This move also comes on the heels of Abdullahi’s historic performance in December, where he made NPFL history by scoring an impressive five goals in an away game against Gombe United.
Not only did he become the first player to achieve this feat since 2003, but he also became the second player in the Nigeria Premier League to score a hat-trick during the 2023–24 campaign.
Before his switch to Norway, the pacy forward made a lasting impact during his 17 appearances for Kano Pillars, netting a total of five goals.
Kano Pillars fans will surely miss their power striker just as the second stanza of the Nigerian Premier Football League is set to kick off.
