Sunshine Stars FC have made a bold move for the 2024-25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, signing a whopping 21 new players to strengthen their squad and make a push for continental football.
Among the standout signings are Seth Mayi, goalkeeper Emmanuel Ofori, and Achi Nnaemeka, who returns to the club after a stint with Remo Stars, Footballrover reports.
Other key arrivals include Lucky Vandy from Gombe United, goalkeeper Obiosor David from Bendel Insurance, Seidu Salisu from Plateau United, and Stephen Chukwude, back from his time at Heartland FC.
The rest of the impressive lineup includes Peace Dewan (Gombe United), Yusuf Olowoshile (Bendel Insurance), Adamu Umar (Doma United), Dozie Nnwana (Gombe United), Arunta Elmer (Enugu Rangers), Benjamin Iluyomade (Abia Comet), Segun Owoade (Inter Lagos), Ismail Ayodele (Osun United), Olaoluwa Okiki (Soccer Talent Academy), Adeolu Gabriel (Solution FC), and Manuwa Kayode (Agbo Boys Academy).
Club Chairman Bamidele Ologunloluwa expressed his gratitude to the new recruits for choosing Sunshine Stars and vowed to offer them an enhanced welfare package.

He also urged them to give their all as the club aims to secure a spot in CAF competitions.
“Our target as far as the 2024/25 NPFL programme is concerned is to compete for the top spot and play in CAF organised competition,” he told the team.
Bamidele Ologunloluwa expressed his best wishes to the team as they embarked on the nine-month journey together.
The Akure Gunners will kick off their campaign with a clash against Bayelsa United at the Dipo Dina International Stadium later today.
