In the Portuguese Second Division, the promotion-chasing side defeated Académica Coimbra 2-0 and took all three points home.

An own goal from Zé Castro gave the visitors the lead 21 minutes into the contest before Godwin obviously put the game out of reach with a goal in the 62nd minute.

With this goal, he now has twelve points (nine goals and three assists) in twenty-four league appearances this season.

Saviour Godwin, who has played for the Nigerian national teams in the U17, U20, and U23 levels kicked off the month of April with a bang, scoring ten goals across all competitions.

When Casa Pia face Farense away from home on Saturday, the 25-year-old Nigerian will be looking to keep up his scoring record.

The Filipe Martins side are just one point behind the league leaders, while Académica Coimbra sits at the death of relegation zone

With six games remaining, Saviour Godwin and his side are five points clear of the promotion spots in the Portuguese Premier League.
