Super Falcons of Nigeria star Rasheedat Ajibade put in a good shift, grabbing a goal for Atletico Madrid as they edged out Real Sociedad in a LigaF game on Sunday.
The veteran forward continued her goalscoring form for her team, scoring for the second game in a row as Atletico de Madrid ladies earned an impressive LigaF victory away at Real Sociedad, Footballrover reports.
Ajibade grabbed a late goal to help Atletico Madrid seal a 2-0 victory against Real Sociedad in a Primera División de la Liga de Fútbol Femenino fixture at the Zubieta Facilities.
Atletico Madrid found the breakthrough barely 14 minutes into the game when Ludmila Da Silva finished off a sweet pass from Vilde Bøe Risa.
The away team had most of the possession in the first half, but that was their only goal heading into the interval.
The second period saw more actions from both sides, and in a bid to seal the victory, Ajibade finished off with a brilliant assist from Ana Vitória in 90th minute to hand her team all three points.
Ever since she played a key role in helping the Super Falcons secure a spot in the 2024 Olympics, Ajibade has been in solid form.
Recall that she was recently voted Player of the Month, and she now has seven goals in 25 matches, with five assists under her belt.
Looking ahead, Rasheedat Ajibade and her teammates will now prepare to face Rinsola Babajide’s team, Tenerife, at the Alcalá de Henares Sports Centre on Saturday, May 4.
