As Victor Osimhen’s future with Galatasaray remains uncertain, Turkish champions Galatasaray are reportedly eyeing a sensational replacement.
The club, currently benefiting from Osimhen’s stellar performances, is allegedly preparing for a potential blockbuster transfer move to secure none other than Mohamed Salah from Liverpool.
The Super Eagles star, who joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli this summer, has been on fire since his arrival in Istanbul.
The Nigerian forward has scored eight goals and provided four assists in just ten appearances, quickly becoming a key player for the Yellow-Reds.
Galatasaray eyes Mohamed Salah as Osimhen’s potential replacement
Despite his impressive form, the possibility of Victor leaving has stirred up considerable speculation.
Several European clubs are reportedly tracking his progress, looking to make their move when the transfer windows open.
This uncertainty has prompted Galatasaray to weigh their options carefully.
Turkish football analyst Serdar Ali Çelikler recently revealed Galatasaray’s contingency plans should they lose Osimhen.
Speaking to Habersarikirmizi, Çelikler confirmed that the club is seriously considering making a move for Salah, who could be available due to his contract expiring with Liverpool at the end of the season.
“Even if Osimhen doesn’t stay, Galatasaray will get a player of that level. Because they’ve seen those places. The eye is afraid of what it sees.
“I don’t think anyone lower will get him. There won’t be a serious loss of level after this. Galatasaray is really thinking about Mohamed Salah. It’s an extremely difficult transfer, but they are thinking about it,” he said.
Securing Salah would undoubtedly be a massive coup for Galatasaray. As one of the world’s top forwards, Salah would be able to move the team to new heights.
However, Galatasaray will face fierce competition from other elite clubs, making the deal complex and highly competitive.
While the Nigerian forward remains vital to Galatasaray’s title hopes this season, the club’s ambition is clear—maintain their status as a dominant force in both Turkish and European football, no matter the challenges ahead.
