Chidera Ejuke first-ever La Liga goal proved to be the difference-maker for Sevilla in their thrilling 2-1 win over Real Valladolid at the Ramon Sánchez Pizjuan.
His late effort helped secure a crucial victory in a match that looked like it could slip away, Footballrover reports.
Brought on in the 61st minute to replace Sevilla icon Jesus Navas, Ejuke needed just 24 minutes to make his mark.
With the clock winding down, the Nigerian winger pounced on a sloppy Valladolid pass and calmly slotted the ball into the bottom corner in the 85th minute, sealing the much-needed win for his team.

Earlier in the game, Kelechi Iheanacho had started for Sevilla but was substituted for Suso just after the hour mark.
The opening minutes of the contest were hard-fought, with neither side able to find a breakthrough.
However, Sevilla’s persistence finally paid off when a driven cross from Dodi Lukebakio forced Valladolid’s David Torres to turn the ball into his own net, giving the hosts a 1-0 lead just before halftime.
Valladolid responded almost immediately, as Kike’s deflected shot slipped past goalkeeper Orjan Nyland, levelling the score.
Stunned by their newly promoted opponents, Sevilla ramped up their attack in search of a winner.
Ejuke came close earlier, testing Valladolid goalkeeper Karl Hein with a fierce shot that required a quick reflex save.
But Hein couldn’t keep the Super Eagles star at bay forever. Ejuke’s decisive goal came after he seized a poor pass, showing composure as he fired past the helpless keeper.
