Nigerian footballer Opara Samuel has become a rising star after emerging the Golden Boot winner at OPM International Soccer Scouting Tournament held recently in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
Samuel had a remarkable outing throughout the competition, with an impressive tally of six goals, sealing off his position as the tournament’s top scorer, Footballrover reports.
This achievement is no small feat, considering it marks Samuel’s fifth consecutive Golden Boot win across tournaments his club, OPM INT FC, has featured in.
OPM Football Club couldn’t help but spread the news of Samuel’s success on social media as they celebrated their star player.

While Samuel rightfully deserves the spotlight, it’s also important to recognise the exceptional contribution of his teammate, Ejike Wisdom Nduagu.
Nduagu, OPM FC’s goalkeeper, displayed remarkable resilience throughout the tournament, maintaining a clean-sheet record until the final match.
Despite conceding a single goal in a penalty shootout just minutes before the end, Nduagu’s impressive performance throughout the competition secured him the title of Best Goalkeeper.
The OPM Scouting Tournament proved to be a fierce competition, with a total of 82 teams vying for the championship title.
OPM Football Club emerged victorious after defeating Echeleche FC in a thrilling penalty shootout that ended with a 4-2 scoreline.
