The Nigeria National League (NNL) board has announced a date change for the Super 8 tournament, previously scheduled for May 23–30 at Enugu’s Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, due to NFF power play.
The competition will now take place from June 7–14, 2024, at the same venue, Footballrover reports.
According to NNL Chairman, Mr. George Aluo, the date shift was necessary to avoid conflicting with the Federation Cup Round of 32 matches, scheduled for the same week.
“We decided to move the Super 8 forward because the date clashed with the Federation Cup Round of 32 matches and the best thing for us to do is to align our calendar with that of the NFF,” he said
Despite the date change, all preparations for a successful competition are in place.
