Chelsea rising star Nicolas Jackson has expressed his desire to follow in the footsteps of club icon Didier Drogba, emphasising his eagerness to receive guidance from the Ivorian legend.

In an exclusive interview with talkSPORT, Jackson revealed his admiration for Drogba, citing him as a role model since his youthful days, Footballrover reports.

Despite donning the same number 15 jersey once worn by Drogba, Jackson confessed to never having had a direct conversation with the legendary striker.

While acknowledging the cultural and national differences between them—Drogba hailing from Cote d’Ivoire and Jackson from Senegal—the young striker has expressed deep hope for a future encounter where he could seek advice from his idol.

Reflecting on his interactions with former Chelsea player Demba Ba, Jackson highlighted the bond formed due to their shared Senegalese heritage, contrasting it with his unfulfilled aspiration to connect with Drogba.

“We never talk. I hope to see him one day so he can give me advice to be like him,” he said.
